You can build a self-actualized company

When all 4 stages are complete…the ecosystem is next.

In my previous article, we discussed the fundamental building blocks necessary for an organization to thrive. Now, we are extending the same approach to vendors, competitors, and even customers.

It is important to align everyone in the ecosystem because it creates a cohesive and efficient system where everyone is working towards the same goals and values. When everyone is aligned, there is a shared understanding of the purpose of the organization and how to achieve success.

Having everyone in the ecosystem being A+ means that each individual and organization in the ecosystem brings value and contributes to the success of the business. This creates a positive feedback loop where the success of the business drives the success of the ecosystem, and vice versa.

When everyone is A+ and aligned, there is less friction and inefficiency in the ecosystem, which allows for faster and more sustainable growth. Additionally, having a self-actualized company that is designed around what makes people great allows for a more fulfilling and rewarding work experience, which in turn attracts top talent and creates a positive company culture.

Have you ever considered the alignment of your external law firm with the purpose of your organization? We are able to measure the helping and hindering components of basic psychological needs, safety, relationship, and esteem-building components – all remotely. Once these core mindset capabilities are met, the next stage is self-actualization.

But what is self-actualization, and why do only a few companies achieve long-term success? After analyzing thousands of businesses and connecting their purpose and mindset to economic performance for over a decade, we found that only a small fraction are designed for long-term success. Self-actualization is the stage beyond results-driven, where companies focus on systems thinking in addition to everything else. Companies that reach this capability (or capacity) have the privilege of achieving long-term success.

On the other hand, companies like Unisys and Rivian Automotive will never be successful because their leadership mindset is moving in the opposite direction, hindering their performance. Unless there is a change in leadership mindset, we cannot expect things to change.

If you want to build a company for long-term success, get ready for an operating system that is designed around what makes people great. Once you get the basics right, you can build a self-actualized company that thrives.
