Autozone over the last 10 years has been a self-actualization leader. They have consistently hired mindset capacity ahead of net revenue for a decade.
AutoZone is the poster child for proactive, intentional leadership design. They have consistently raised the bar similar to Amazon on who is employed at the company. One may think a company that sells oil and windshield wipers can’t be high performance driven company, you have to look at who surrounds leader ship. In this particular case, AutoZone is exceptional at hiring mental capacity in advance of financial needs.
They represent less than 4% of the overall market of well-run companies. How long can this keep up? Recent hiring has not driven capacity to the degree it has in prior years. Well they have aggressive expansion plans, the mindset capacity hiring at the executive level it’s not kept up. They are doing well and need to continue the roadmap that they set for hiring.
